On Friday, December 04 2020, Paria Fuel Trading Company Limited (Paria) and its employees distributed over 30 new laptops and tablet to three (3) schools in its fence-line communities in support of the Ministry of Education’s “Adopt-a-School Program”.

Paria’s General Manager, Terminal and Trading Mr. Mushtaq Mohammed stated “Paria considers itself to be a good corporate citizen. During this time of online education, Paria wants to be apart of enabling the nation’s children to have access to the content via the technology for their educational development.” 

On hand to receive the laptops and tablet for the respective schools were Mr. Winston Lochan, Principal of Pointe-a-Pierre Government Primary School; Mr. Danny Sahadeo, Principal and Mrs. Ingrid Bhola, Senior Teacher of Marabella Government Primary School and Ms. Kelly Belgrove, Dean of Marabella North Secondary School. 

Mr. Winston Lochan, Principal of Pointe-a-Pierre Government Primary School stated “The Principal, Staff, Parents and Students wish to thank the Management and staff at Paria for their assistance and partnering with us especially during this period of Covid-19, ensuring that no child is left behind. We continue to work in collaboration with all stakeholders and we look forward to their continued support and express our heartfelt gratitude.

“Ms. Kelly Belgrove. Dean of Marabella North Secondary School stated “…We are eternally grateful for this opportunity. Many of our children have undergone challenges during the changes of the educational system and these laptops will assist them to adapt to the new way of learning and for their development. We are indeed thankful and grateful to Paria.”
